Position Overview: Control Electrician C is a non-exempt position in the construction, maintenance and repair of substation electrical equipment / systems. Control Electrician C has a 2-4 year working knowledge of 525 kv and below substation electrical equipment, apparatus, and wiring. • Responsible for maintaining Company vehicles, test equipment and tools in good working conditions
• Frequently works in close proximity of energized components with control systems requiring skill and care to protect the client from outages and the lives of themselves and others.

Requirements

• Must possess or be capable of obtaining a Commercial Drivers’ License.

Education / Experience

Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university, with a power background preferred.  Must be a licensed professional engineer.  If registered in a state other than where the engineer will practice, the employee must be able to obtain a license within one year of date of hire.  Two to six years of related experience and/or proven knowledge in power engineering and design is required.

• Work with project team to create all design documents and drawings for a project, including creating wiring diagrams from schematics, generating bills of materials, and applying field mark-ups of project as-built drawings with minimal supervision
