Duties & Responsibilities

o Control Cable
o Cable Terminations (Low Voltage)

• Responsible for maintaining Company vehicles, test equipment and tools in good working conditions
• Frequently works in close proximity of energized components with control systems requiring skill and care to protect the client from outages and the lives of themselves and others.

Requirements

• Able to perform rigorous physical labor.
• Must be capable of climbing and working at heights up to 60 feet above ground.
• Must possess or be capable of obtaining a Commercial Drivers’ License.
• Must supply own personal hand tools required by the company for this work.
• Must supply own safety toed work boots.

Journeyman Lineman-   CSI “Lineman,” Division, is seeking Journeyman Linemen to fulfill our Power Delivery client needs.   We are looking for qualified Journeyman Linemen to fill both current and future project needs in various locations, both internationally and local.   We have both Direct Hire, and Contract positions available , depending on client specifications.   Benefits, Medical Insurance, and Per Diems are included, depending on tenure. The salary is commensurate with experience.   Duties: Construct and maintain all phases of electrical line construction to include: underground, transmission, substations and wind farms.   Established  OSHA and Customer Safety Requirements. Observe and practice all safety policies and bulletins. Planning and initiating  projects. Setting of Towers, and poles.   Maintaining and repairing Overhead Distribution or Transmission Lines. Stringing New Wire, or Maintaining Old Wire. Installing and maintaining insulators.   Installing and Maintaining Transformers and other equipment. Supervising Groundmen and Apprentices. Installing and maintaining an Underground Distribution Systems. Assembly and Erection of Substation. Qualifications: Must presently be qualified to be a Journeyman Lineman. Documentation of completion of a journeyman lineman program is required.   High School graduate, or equivalent.   Must be willing and able to travel away from home. Technical School Lineman degree or equivalent is required. Experience with digger derricks, bucket trucks, trenchers, and groundwork with utility crews is required. Ability to work at heights up to and above 100 feet is preferred.

  Must be able to communicate effectively, and have good teamwork skills and able to understand, comprehend, and follow directions in the workplace.   Possession of a valid Commercial Drivers License Class A preferred.
